20,000 Reasons to Smile: Steve Kinser Wins Finale at Skagit Speedway to Move to Within Just 6 Points of Joey Saldana

Alger, WA-September 4, 2010- Steve Kinser and Joey Saldana have been neck and neck for most of the season in the World of Outlaws championship standings, as well as on the track and off the track in most statistical categories. That battle got even closer Saturday night at Skagit Speedway, as the duo traded the lead a couple of times at the high-banked three-tenths-mile bullring, with Kinser coming out on top in the $20,000 finale of the two-day show to move to within just six markers of Saldana in points as he chases his record 21st title.

DIRTcar Racing Weekly Points Update: Battles Head Into Final With Schlenk (Late Models) & Gilpin (Modifieds) Clinging To Precarious Leads

CONCORD, NC – Sept. 3, 2010 – DIRTcar Racing’s red-hot national points battles are heading into the final month of the 2010 season with Rusty Schlenk of Jackson, Mich. (Late Models) and Devin Gilpin of Columbus, Ind. (UMP Modifieds) clinging to precarious leads.

The 23-year-old Schlenk’s near season-long points lead in the marquee DIRTcar Late Model division has shrunk to just 45 points (2,754-2,709) over defending national champion Jason Feger of Bloomington, Ill., entering the busy Labor Day weekend slate of action, setting up a dramatic run to the finish line.

NEW LEADER IN THE JOE GIBBS DRIVEN RACING OIL ASA MEMBER TRACK NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP STANDINGS

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Friday, September 3, 2010) - Rodney Cook's disqualification for an illegal part last week at Ace Speedway in Elon, NC has completely changed the look of the Joe Gibbs Driven Racing Oil ASA Member Track National Championship standings.  Cook's disqualification caused him to lose the points lead as well as the overall lead in the National Championship.

Ironically, the new National leader is the driver that took over the points lead at Ace.  Dustin Rumley, a 20-year-old driver from McLeansville, NC, took over the top spot after the disqualification and will have the points lead when Ace has their championship night on Friday, September 10th.
