(September 5, 2010) – You know you’re a hard core racer when you look down at your watch minutes after the birth of your second born child and wonder if you still have time to make it to a race that evening in another state. That’s exactly what Jayme Barnes joked about in the winner’s circle (in regards to the previous ASCS Northwest race in Oregon) after picking up his first ASCS Northwest win of the season at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, WA.

Six Enter Elma Auto Racing Hall of Fame

Six men with championship credentials joined the Elma Auto Racing Hall of Fame in a ceremony conducted Sunday, September 5, 2010, in the Borden-Seabert Exhibition Hall on the Grays Harbor Fairgrounds.

Grays Harbor Raceway announcer, Phil Martelli, reminisced about the credentials of each inductee at which time they were introduced to the crowd of 150 and presented with their EARHoF Induction Certificate, a lifetime EARHoF membership card, and their personalized EARHoF Inductee Jacket. Each person was then given the opportunity to address the audience.

Ratterree repeats; Murgoitio's last-night winged rally falls short

MERIDIAN, Idaho — Chris Ratterree's charge to another Mtn. Dew Winged Sprintcar championship endured one final push from Mike Murgoitio on Sunday night.

Murgoitio did everything he was supposed to do on Tates Rents Fan Appreciation Night at ASA-sanctioned Meridian Speedway, but victories in the Fast Dash and 35-lap season-ending main event wasn't enough to regain the series lead he had held for most of the year.

Event at Grays Harbor Raceway in Washington Pushed Back to Tuesday by Rain

Elma, WA-September 6, 2010- Persistent rain has forced the postponement of the World of Outlaws event at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Washington originally scheduled for Monday, September 6 to Tuesday, September 7. A full racing program is in store on Tuesday beginning with time trials, heat races, a dash, a Last Chance Showdown and culminating with a $10,000 to win 30-lap feature event.
