Kalispell Toyota Super Late Models hit the Montana Asphalt this Saturday
Kalispell, Mont. (May 24, 2012)- The Premiere racing division at Montana Raceway Park will take to the ¼ mile high banked asphalt oval this Memorial Day weekend. The Kalispell Toyota Super Late Models will kick off a six race series this Saturday night. Cars in this elite division feature full fiberglass bodies, fabricated chassis’, and over 500 hp engines.
The defending 2011 Kalispell Toyota Super Late Model Champion, Ryan Wells returns to protect his title in the division. He will have to stay on top of the action as a number of others will be vying for his position.
A number of drivers will make the long trek to Montana’s only asphalt track this weekend. David Garber, Braden Havens, Jeff Little will make the trip from Spokane. From North of the border, Trevor Emond, the 1998 Coors Light Montana 200 Champion Tim Elliot, and Tim Johnson will be some of the Canadians making the haul to Montana.
The Hometown boys will make a strong showing to show these out of town drivers what racing Montana Style is all about. Some of the names to watch include: Bodie Morton, Billy Salmonsen, Agni Howell, Wrango West, Troy Schweigert, Alex Lessor, Giles Thornton, and Corey Wolfe. These hometown boys plan to battle until the end during the Black Star/Parrot Bay Memorial Day 100.
Also racing this weekend will be the Flathead Beacon Bombers and the Don K Hobby Stocks. Two weeks ago Kelly Dupuis took the checkers in the Flathead Beacon Bomber main event, but failed to go to post race tech. This error allowed Zach Mongan to claim 1st. Expect to see a tight battle in this division as Dupuis wants to correct his mistake and claim another victory. In the Don K Hobby Stock Division Ed Linn and Dustin Martel come into the weekend tied for first in points. Close racing action will happen as they drivers go at it for top bragging rights.
